Album reviews: Forever Lasting Canadian Songs

« Caroline have a tender, yet powerful vocal, reminds us both of Joplin at times, but apart from the one I featured on the show, I have several favorites, in fact many, I don't like to choose, but if I did, I love the version of, If You Could Read My Mind (Lightfoot) and Heart Of Gold (Young). This is indeed a very good album, well done. »

Chrissie & Steve Sheppard, One World Music Radio, Australia – November 23, 2023

« Caroline Nadeau, a vocalist who appears for the first time in Anima Jazz, is a singer who certainly has solid technical preparation and interpretative abilities. Her performance is experienced and felt with great emotion, offering a beautiful overall performance. The musicians that accompany her play with great taste in relation to the vocal performance, with a marked presence, capable of always pulling off very pleasant solo performances, which manages to embellish each track of this beautiful album which I listened to with particular curiosity…» [Translation]

Bruno Pollacci, AnimaJazz,, Pisa, Italy – November 10, 2023

«The surprise of the week is this CD from Caroline Nadeau, who for several decades has been singing songs that have lasted forever. […] we can't say our favorites, we love them all. When listening to the CD, we have the impression of being on a cruise ship enjoying a beautiful evening of Canadian music. » [Translation]

André Maccabée, Cité Boomers, Longueuil, Qc – October 17, 2023

« Caroline Nadeau is an effective singer firmly rooted in jazz harmonies […]. We are in a vocal space reminiscent of well-known Anglo-Canadian singers like Carol Welsman, that is to say a pretty, pleasantly velvety mezzo […] a pleasant journey into the timelessness of very classic jazz, well mastered and of enduring popular melodies. » [Translation]
